District settles with worker
A school maintenance employee who in 2003 poured chemicals down a city drain was paid more than $100,000 this month after she sued the district, arguing her firing was unfair. Diane Porcella, a 23-year grounds worker with the Glendora Unified School District, disposed of toxic herbicide residue that flowed into a storm drain leading to the ocean.
