School board delays fiber-optic provider choice

The Conejo Valley Unified School District board decided during a special meeting Monday to postpone a decision to choose a high-speed, fiber-optic network provider, while it waits for additional information from district staff. It was standing room only as parents and community members packed the boardroom during the 3 p.m. meeting to implore the four trustees to reconsider approving any large expenditure while there is still a possibility of closing two elementary schools.
