Lincoln school district close to achieving $3.2M in budget cuts

On Wednesday, Lincoln Unified Superintendent Steven Lowder said the district is well on its way to its goal of cutting $3.2 million from its $61 million budget. Lowder said the district has cut 15.8 full-time positions from its certificated staff - assistant principals, teachers and a speech therapist. That saved $1.2 million.

For Stockton USD board, Tuesday's actions represent 'fresh start'

A meeting that lasted late into Tuesday night was a move toward a "fresh start" for the Stockton Unified School District, several board members said Wednesday. Athletics administrator Joe Martin was "released" by a 7-0 vote of the board, not fired, as previously reported.
