Districts may cut summer courses

School district officials already dealing with mounting budget constraints said they expect to eliminate some summer school programs this year in anticipation of proposed cuts in state funding.

Logan High kids must show ID card to enter campus

T.J. Cervantez, a senior at James Logan High School in Union City, flashed his student identification card at an adult stationed beside one of the school entrances and stepped through the gate onto campus. The 18-year-old was following a new rule that went into effect Monday - that all students must show their IDs when entering campus or leaving before the school day is over.
