Grant School parents moving on after closure

As was the case with many Grant Elementary parents, Dina Justo was saddened when the Stockton Unified board voted to close the aging school her three children attend. But one month has passed since the vote to close Grant, and Justo and others at the close-knit south Stockton school have started to look to the future.

3 campus renovations on target

Extreme makeovers at El Camino High School and Del Rio Elementary School are on track to be finished next school year, while the modernization of Lincoln Middle School begins in June. The projects are part of a multiyear building campaign to modernize campuses across the Oceanside Unified School District, which enrolls about 21,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade at 23 campuses.

Livermore schools trim $5 million from budget

Students in the Livermore school district will return this fall to bigger class sizes, fewer special education classroom aides and one less nurse.
