The CBO Mentor Project is a one-year program designed to produce qualified district CBOs. It consists of classroom training taking place in ten one-and-a-half-day sessions. In addition, each participant will be assigned a Mentor, who is an experienced CBO and will be availble to assist the participant as needed. Candidates for the fourth cohort have been selected. Applications for the fifth cohort are now available.
This project is a partnership of the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO); School Services of California (SSC); the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) sub-committee: Business and Administration Steering Committee (BASC); and the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT). FCMAT is underwriting the project and it is free to participants. Click on the links below for more information, or call the FCMAT office at 661-636-4308.
