Question: When the state takes control of a district, will the current teachers' contract with the district be null and void?

Response: Nothing in the Education Code authorizes the County Superintendent to abrogate any provisions of a collective bargaining agreement that was entered into by a school district prior to the date upon which the County Superintendent of Schools assumed authority (EC 42127.6(g).
