Is a Junior High School ASB considered non-profit?

Question: Is a Junior High ASB considered non-profit and if so, where would I get a copy of the non-profit status?

Response: Districts, including ASBs, are exempt from income taxes as a public entity, which means that donations made to them are tax deductible. What districts and ASBs are not is a 501C3 organization, which is what private non-public entities are. The 501C3 organization would have a non-profit form to provide to those making donations, but districts and ASBs do not have any such form to provide.
