Question: Our student store is open during home athletic events. The ASB students who work the store during these events would like to have a tip can on the counter for tip money. Is this allowed?

Response: The money received at the student store during home athletic events is considered fundraising (actually the amount after expenditures is the actual fundraising amount). Individuals/students asking for tips would not be allowable, as the money raised through this fundraiser is actually property of the ASB. Also, part of the overall fundraising is the students donating their time (at no cost to the ASB).  So, even if a tip jar was put out, those "donations" should go to ASB, not the individual students.
