Megan Reilly, Chief Administrative Officer
Megan brings to FCMAT a unique depth and breadth of experience, with more than 25 years of work in public education leadership and finance. She has served as both deputy and interim superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District, including managing complex logistical and support challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as CBO at the Santa Clara County Office of Education and as comptroller at the Naval Postgraduate School, as well as other public sector experience. Megan holds a law degree as well as an MS in management and a BA in history.
Megan will begin work at FCMAT in late July of this year.
Elizabeth Dearstyne, Intervention Specialist
Elizabeth comes to FCMAT with almost 20 years of state-level experience in school finance at the California Department of Education, where she most recently served as director of the School Fiscal Services Division. She brings extensive knowledge of the state budget and allocation process as well as experience supporting county offices of education through oversight, and the accounting, financial reporting and audit process of local educational agencies (LEAs). Elizabeth holds a master’s degree in public administration and a BA in government.
Elizabeth will begin work at FCMAT in early July.
Alyssa Low, Intervention Specialist
Alyssa joins FCMAT with 14 years of experience in public school finance, the majority of which was in leadership positions involving both coordination and oversight of fiscal processes and compliance. She has served at four school districts and one county office of education in Southern California, including as director of fiscal services at the Burbank Unified School District and most recently as director of internal business at the Ventura County Office of Education. Alyssa holds an MA degree and a BS in organizational leadership as well as a school business management certificate.
Alyssa will begin work at FCMAT in early July.
Michelle Giacomini, Deputy Executive Officer II
Michelle is retiring after 23 years of service with FCMAT, including work as an intervention specialist and chief analyst, and years of service before FCMAT in LEAs. In her role, she has served school districts, county offices and charter schools tirelessly, consistently and passionately. Michelle is both a colleague and a friend to many of us. We wish her the best.
Debbie Riedmiller, Interim Chief Analyst
Debbie is retiring after eight years of service with FCMAT and numerous years serving in public education finance before coming to FCMAT. In her role, she has served LEAs with both care and a meticulous attention to detail that consistently helps clients improve. Debbie is well liked and respected by colleagues and clients alike and will be missed. She retires with the best wishes of all of us at FCMAT.
California’s public school students have been well served by Michelle and Debbie’s dedication and hard work.
